The See & Park Hotel Feldbach is located in a large park in Steckborn, directly on the shores of Lake Constance, in a former monastery building dating back to 1252. The restaurant and the Tower Bar were officially reopened last Wednesday following a renovation that lasted a good four months. The restaurant, now operating under the new name KUNOS, features a large window façade overlooking the Untersee and seats a total of 60 guests.
The opening ceremony on March 18 was attended by invited guests from the town of Steckborn, the tourism industry, and project partners. The focus was on the rebranding of the restaurant, which, under the new name KUNOS, pays homage to Kuno von Feldbach and thus deliberately ties into the history of the location. In his speech, owner Hanspeter Ueltschi emphasized the significance of the establishment for the family, the Bernina Group, and the town of Steckborn. He noted that the investment was crucial to securing the business’s long-term future and to reorienting the restaurant’s culinary offerings.
Managing Director Jeremy Peyer highlighted that the venue’s history should remain palpable, while at the same time a modern and timeless space for dining has been created. The Turmbar on the top floor was also renovated; in addition, the kitchen, ventilation system, and other central areas of the building were refurbished. The total investment amounted to approximately 2.4 million Swiss francs.
HRS Real Estate AG served as the general contractor responsible for implementing the project and coordinated the entire renovation process. This included both the structural renovation of the restaurant and the tower bar, as well as the refurbishment of key infrastructure within the building.
