Sustainable new living space in the Messequartier

With the construction of the Rosentalturm on the site of the current Messe parking garage, Basel is about to take a further step in its urban development. In addition to modern, ecological architecture, the project also focuses on sustainable urban development. The new building will include apartments and commercial space and is intended to further revitalize the Messequartier as a space for entertainment and culture.

The project is being developed, financed and realized in cooperation between the MCH Group and HRS. It was designed by Herzog & de Meuron. The MCH Group as building rights holder, HRS as developer and total contractor and the Canton of Basel-Stadt as building rights provider and approval authority are working closely together to successfully realize the project. Construction is scheduled to start in 2026.
