Six months ago, FLAWA AG and HRS commissioned five architectural firms from Eastern Switzerland to prepare designs for a future development of the 7,000 m2 FLAWA site East in Flawil as part of a study project. The monitoring committee has now judged the projects and selected a winner: the "IN SITU" project by Pfister Klingenfuss Architekten AG from St. Gallen together with the landscape architects of BÖE studio from Zurich. This project now serves as the basis for the special use plan.
It provides for the retention of the older production building, which is to become the anchor point for further development on site, and planning adopts numerous elements from the surroundings.
FLAWA and HRS are pleased about the successful execution of the study commission with dialogue procedure and the high level of the juried projects and would like to express their sincere thanks to all participants on the part of the architectural teams and the jury.
