Start of construction on the “Sangenfeld” for two buildings with 70 freehold apartments

In the summer of 2020, HRS submitted a planning application for nine multistory buildings on the "Sangenfeld West" site in Weinfelden. The plans included 300 rental and owner-occupied apartments in an area spanning over 22,000 square meters. In 2024, two of the nine buildings in the approved construction project underwent architectural changes. Instead of rental apartments, condominiums were to be offered in buildings C and D. This required a new planning application. The floor plans of the individual apartments, the plans for the shelter and basement rooms, and the plans for the parking garage were adapted in the process. As a result of the change, the exterior lines of the two buildings were also shifted.

There was no opposition to these changes. The building permit was granted in December 2024, and preparations for the execution and awarding of the first construction work have been made since then.

The investor from Weinfelden, HS Investment AG, will begin construction work on the “Sangenfeld” site in August. In the first phase, two of the nine planned buildings will be constructed. The site will first be secured and prepared, followed by excavation work. The official groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for August 2025. The developer and HRS expect that Buildings C and D, comprising a total of 70 owner-occupied apartments, will be ready for occupancy in spring 2028.
