Laying of the foundation stone for the upper school building

Shortly before Christmas, the foundation stone for a new school building was laid in Horgen in the presence of representatives from the municipal council and school board. HRS and the Horgen student council filled the steel capsule with contemporary artifacts, including Christmas tinsel, a lighter, letters, and class photos from Horgen students.

The new Seeblick building will provide twelve additional classrooms, group rooms, ancillary rooms, and two school kitchens on the Berghalden/Rainweg school grounds. HRS won a total performance competition in 2023. In 2024, voters approved the project in a referendum. According to the schedule, the new building is set to open after the 2027 summer vacation.
