HRS is constructing a state-of-the-art new building for Körber Pharma Packaging in Grabs

The new-build project for Körber Pharma Packaging AG in Grabs is being carried out by HRS Real Estate AG as the main contractor. A modern industrial building is being constructed on the site, comprising a basement, two production floors and two office floors, with a total usable floor area of around 22,400 m².

The entire building stands on 620 full-displacement bored piles, 420 of which are used as energy piles. These are utilised for both free cooling and heat recovery.

The entire façade structure was delivered as a hybrid timber-frame construction with a clad aluminium outer shell and was installed in a very short time.

The investment volume amounts to around CHF 66 million. As the investor in this building, Suva set extremely high standards for us in terms of occupational safety, as there was absolutely no leeway in the areas of occupational safety and health protection.

The new building serves to expand the site and creates additional capacity for growth, modern workplaces for around 400 employees, and sustainable production.

Despite its very large volume, the building meets the high Minergie P sustainability standard, achieved through, among other things, energy-efficient construction and a 420 kWp photovoltaic system on the roof.

The construction period runs from October 2024 to December 2026.
