Parco Brentani is a residential building site for the construction of 153 rental flats, 1 commercial space on the ground floor and 2 basement floors used as garages, technical rooms and cellars.
The residence consists of a single basement level above which rise the two 9-storey towers. With a height of 37 metres, Parco Brentani is the highest building site in Ticino to date.
For the interior walls, classic plasterboard was chosen, but the main feature of the site is the perimeter structure, for which the choice fell on "Cocoon" technology, produced by Knauf.
On Wednesday 16th and Thursday 17th February 2022, two classes of apprentice plasterers from the Professional Technical Centre of Mendrisio took part in a visit to the Parco Brentani building site in order to view and learn about the various phases of construction on site.
The visit took place in three stages: in the first stage, the company HRS and its role on the Parco Brentani building site were presented, the behaviour to be adopted during the visit was explained, then the building site, its management, logistics and difficulties were presented. After the actual visit, they were available to answer questions from the students.
With the course lecturer Luca Romerio, we decided to organise further visits during the course of the work, so that the students could see what they had learned in books.
