Muttenz, September 12, 2025 – With the ceremonial laying of the foundation stone, the AM SCHÄNZLI residential and commercial district in Muttenz has reached another important milestone. In front of around 60 guests from the worlds of politics, business, and society, representatives of real estate service provider HRS, the client Swisscanto Investment Foundation of Zürcher Kantonalbank, the municipality of Muttenz, the Baselland location promotion agency, and Burckhardt Architektur jointly laid the symbolic foundation stone.
AM SCHÄNZLI is a forward-looking district being built on the site of the former Beton Christen cement factory, covering an area of 18,000 m². Three modern high-rise buildings will create living, working, and recreational space for all generations. The plans include 385 rental apartments and around 15,000 m² of office and commercial space, which have already attracted well-known tenants such as Lidl, Gyym, Manifattura, and Globegarden. This sustainable urban development project thus ideally combines living, working, and leisure, creating an attractive location in the border triangle—driven by the idea of fostering a vibrant neighborhood with short distances and a high quality of life.
