Groundbreaking Ceremony for Wankdorfcity 3

Nine buildings, 3,000 workplaces, and over 500 apartments: In the northern part of Bern, between the highway and the railway tracks, Wankdorfcity 3 is set to rise. A vertical city within the city.

With Wednesday’s groundbreaking ceremony – attended by Cantonal Councillor Evi Allemann and Mayor Marieke Kruit – this major project officially enters the construction phase. HRS has been involved as implementation partner in the project’s development and planning for nearly five years.

«We’ve had the opportunity to engage in many productive discussions during this time and, thanks to transparent cost structures, always maintained a clear overview,» says Rebecca Kull, COO and owner of HRS. «We’re thrilled to see the vision becoming reality. There’s no comparable project in Switzerland in terms of complexity, density, architectural diversity, and the specific challenges posed by this location.»
