With the comprehensive and sophisticated modernization of the «Coop Grüzemarkt» in Winterthur, HRS Real Estate AG has once again demonstrated its core expertise in complex commercial remodeling and renovation acting as a general contractor. The far-reaching modernization project encompassed a wide range of structural measures, including a striking new canopy roof, optimized southern and western entrances, and a complete facade overhaul that gives the established shopping center a contemporary and welcoming appearance. Additional appeal is created by a new restaurant extension with an outdoor seating area, an eastern building addition, and four new roof skylights that flood the interior spaces with bright, natural daylight.

The traffic and parking layout was fundamentally upgraded through a rearranged parking configuration and an optimized entrance and exit for the underground garage. In line with a sustainable future strategy, a high-capacity photovoltaic system was also installed on the roof. All construction activities—including extensive interior adaptations to the retail and mall areas—were managed with meticulous logistical precision, ensuring that retail operations and business could continue without interruption throughout the entire construction period. Thanks to outstanding coordination, HRS successfully handed over this modernized shopping center on schedule.
