Complete refurbishment Mainauhof

At Mainaustrasse 30 in Zurich’s Seefeld district, the existing office and commercial building was transformed through a targeted rooftop extension into an attractive residential and commercial property. Located on a prominent corner site, the building integrates carefully into the historic block structure of the neighbourhood.

The project was designed to preserve the distinctive character of the existing building while creating contemporary living space. The roof conversion enabled the addition of new rental apartments, complemented by a shared rooftop terrace offering views of Lake Zurich.

The spacious office and commercial areas on the lower floors were retained, while the upper levels now accommodate compact apartments of various sizes. Large dormers and so-called seasonal rooms provide abundant daylight and a high quality of living.

HRS Real Estate AG acted as the total contractor for the project, ensuring full cost, quality and schedule certainty throughout the entire realisation process. The architectural design was developed by Mirlo Urbano Architekten GmbH in Zurich.
