Hotel Kameha Gapprox.
Opfikon
Unique luxury hotel in Opfikon
The Glattpark is a district of the municipality of Opfikon and lies directly on the northern border of the city of Zurich. Since the approved district plan in 2000, an area of around 670,000 sqm has gradually been developed into a fully-fledged district with residential buildings, shops, workplaces and a park with an artificial lake. By 2020, work will have been completed on almost all of the Glattpark's construction sites. Around 7,000 people are expected to live here, and in the future roughly the same number will be able to earn a living here.
Swissness as inspiration for interior design
The Kameha Gapprox has its very own interior design, which makes the house unmistakable. The designer Marc Wanders is responsible for the scenography. His work has enabled him to pay tribute to Switzerland's cultural heritage. The decorations are festive and unpredictable. They serve as backdrops for elements inspired by Switzerland, such as chocolate-coloured wall panelling, mini bars resembling a safe or luminaires reminiscent of oversized cowbells. Sofas have the shape of Toblerone. HRS was responsible for the realisation of this extraordinary hotel until the turnkey handover to the operator.
