Les Cèdres GZ3

Les Cèdres GZ3 marks the third phase of the new neighborhood in the heart of Chavannes-près-Renens, which will ultimately comprise approximately 700 apartments, shops, restaurants, and offices. Following the first construction phase, which included 192 rental apartments, and the second phase, featuring buildings D, E, and F, GZ3 completes the growing neighborhood in western Lausanne.

The building comprises 49 apartments as well as commercial space on the ground floor and is complemented by an underground parking garage with 38 parking spaces. RDR Architectes (Richter Dahl Rocha & Associés) of Lausanne was responsible for the architectural design.

As the project developer and general contractor with full cost, quality, and schedule guarantees, HRS Real Estate SA carried out the construction project on behalf of Orllati Real Estate SA, Bioley-Orjulaz. The challenging geotechnical conditions of the site, as well as its integration into the surrounding projects of the entire neighborhood — including the Cèdres footbridge and the new Avenue de la Garm, shaped the project’s execution.

With a construction volume of 26,500 m³ and a lot area of 5,329 m², the total cost amounted to approximately CHF 14.3 million. The construction period ran from July 2021 to April 2023.
