Opale

Opale shapes the urban landscape of Chêne-Bourg with a 20-storey tower, bringing together residential, work and retail uses in a modern high-rise building. The project comprises 101 rental apartments as well as modular office spaces delivered in shell condition, spread across five levels above the retail areas on the ground floor.

The vertical organisation of the different uses creates an efficient and urban building structure. While the apartments offer attractive living spaces with high-quality views, the modular office areas allow for flexible fit-outs tailored to different needs.

The two underground levels complement the building functionally and ensure efficient access. The complex setting, on a confined construction site and in close proximity to the CEVA line, placed high demands on planning, coordination and execution.

With the DGNB Gold criteria and Minergie certification, Opale also stands for sustainable, energy-efficient and future-oriented construction. The project creates an urban mix of uses and makes a significant contribution to the development of the Chêne-Bourg site.
