Winterthur
The Paul-/Gertrudstrasse project in Winterthur involved the comprehensive renovation of an existing complex of buildings and its repositioning for future-oriented use. The combination of residential, office, and commercial spaces has created an attractive mix of uses that revitalizes the neighborhood while meeting modern standards for sustainability and functionality.
As part of the comprehensive renovation, 65 new apartments were created and the existing commercial and office spaces were modernized. The building envelope was energy-optimized and all building services were brought up to the latest standards. This resulted in a sustainable increase in both the energy efficiency and the long-term value retention of the property.
Particular attention was paid to the conversion and enhancement of the existing building stock. The careful integration of modern living spaces, contemporary workspaces, and sustainable construction principles creates a high-quality environment for residents and businesses. Minergie-Eco certification underscores the high standards of energy efficiency and sustainability.
As the general contractor, HRS was responsible for the project’s execution and ensured on-time completion while adhering to the highest quality and cost standards. The successful transformation of Paul-/Gertrudstrasse has created a future-proof location with long-term added value for Winterthur.
