Research establishment of national significance
The new Centre of Excellence for Translational Medicine is intended to promote the transition of findings from medical research and industrial development into clinical application ("translation") and to improve the translation process nationwide in a sustainable manner. The aim of the group is to strengthen Berne further as a medical location with a strong medtech and growing pharmaceutical and biotech industry and to position it internationally.
Building completed in record time
The building was designed by Büro B Architekten AG. HRS completed the construction within two and a half years. The first tenants moved in as early as May 2019. In addition to the research facilities, the new building also has a public car park and a restaurant.
