Stadler Rail new build

On the 67,000 m2 Altfeld site in St. Margrethen, HRS has developed the new competence center for double-decker multiple-unit trains for Stadler Rail. The new building with direct track access includes production, office and storage areas. The development and planning were carried out according to the design-to-cost principle in order to guarantee a tailor-made project with cost certainty. Within one and a half years, a rezoning, a partial road plan, the design plan and the legally binding building permit were all completed. Overarching planning issues such as mobility, traffic and incidents were coordinated and regulated through efficient interaction between the federal government, canton and planners.
