Schlieren

Zelgli school complex

The comprehensive renovation of the Zelgli school complex in Schlieren has sustainably modernized an important educational infrastructure and prepared it for future needs. The goal of the project was to renovate the existing facility structurally, technically, and functionally, as well as to create a contemporary environment for modern school operations.

As part of the comprehensive renovation, the classrooms, common areas, and technical infrastructure were extensively modernized. The work included both the renewal of key building components and the adaptation of the facility to current requirements regarding safety, functionality, and operational efficiency. This resulted in a modern learning environment with a high quality of stay for students and teachers.

A particular challenge was carrying out the construction work while school was in session. Thanks to careful planning and phased execution, disruptions to daily school life were kept to a minimum. Close collaboration between the client, the school community, and project stakeholders contributed significantly to the project’s success.

HRS carried out the renovation as a general contractor with a full guarantee on costs, quality, and schedule. The project serves as an exemplary demonstration of how existing educational buildings can be upgraded in the long term through targeted modernization and adapted to the needs of future generations.
