Ground-breaking ceremony at Zurich sports centre
23.08.2024 | Dübendorf / Wangen-Brüttisellen
Yesterday, Thursday, the symbolic ground-breaking ceremony marked the official start of construction of the new Zurich Sports Centre. From autumn 2026, the unique polysport competence centre between Dübendorf and Wangen-Brüttisellen will combine sport, education, medicine and regeneration on six levels and more than 23,000 m2.
The ground-breaking ceremony was attended by numerous guests from the worlds of politics, sport and business, as well as representatives of the architectural and planning consortia involved and HRS as the total contractor. ‘The Zurich Sports Centre is a unique building for us. With this project, we are sending out a strong signal in favour of young talent and Swiss sport,’ says HRS COO and owner Rebecca Kull.
