Foundation stone laid on Freihofstrasse

At the intersection of Baslerstrasse and Freihofstrasse in Zurich-Altstetten, an 80-metre-high residential tower with a photovoltaic strip façade and 149 rental apartments on 26 floors is being built on the former exhibition and assembly area of a Fiat garage.

In a two-storey base level, the entire first floor with its stores and service providers serves the entire district. The second floor houses the large communal space including a roof garden as well as smaller units for studios, meeting rooms or a co-working area. An additional floor area of around 23,300 square meters will be created by spring 2026.

HRS was commissioned by the client - namely HIAG Immobilien Schweiz AG - as the total contractor for the project. The ceremonial laying of the foundation stone took place on Friday. HRS is looking forward to the next steps.
